Police officers depart for specialised training in Rwanda

A team of 10 police officers from the Counter Terrorism Unit has departed Seychelles for Rwanda on Thursday, 25th September, to undertake a rigorous six-month Advanced Police Special Forces Training program.

This initiative marks the second group of officers leaving for Rwanda as part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) established between the Seychelles Police Force and the Rwanda National Police.

The training is specifically designed to enhance the officers’ skills in critical areas such as tactical operations, martial arts, combative techniques, public order management, basic first aid, and community policing.

The Seychelles Police Force is confident that this intensive training will significantly bolster national security and elevate the operational readiness of the Force. We wish the officers great success as they embark on this essential journey of professional development.
