The Minister for Employment and Social Affairs visit L’Escale Marina & Spa

On Friday, September 12th, the Minister for Employment and Social Affairs, Mrs. Patricia Francourt, visited L’Escale Marina & Spa in Roche Caiman as part of the Employment Department’s commitment to fostering industrial harmony.

During her visit, the Minister was welcomed by General Manager Mr. Sherif Taher and senior management team members. The delegation engaged in a comprehensive presentation, providing crucial insights into the establishment’s operations and the incentives designed to strengthen employee relations.

Following the presentation, Minister Francourt toured the hotel facilities and directly interacted with workers from various departments. This open dialogue was essential for gathering insights and addressing pressing issues. The primary concerns raised included transportation, working hours, and communication.

Minister Francourt emphasised the necessity of cultivating a unified ethos and collaboration among all employees. She reaffirmed the significant role they play in driving economic growth and development.

A debriefing session will occur at the ministry’s headquarters, Independence House, to discuss the visit’s findings in detail. The Employment Department is committed to addressing the concerns raised during the visit and ensuring compliance moving forward.
